For improving product quality, increasing strength of competition in international market, Hengxing has built up 176 thousand Mu (11700 hectare) in Meixian, Heyang, Chunhua of Shaanxi and Linyi of Shanxi based on developing program called [Company + Base + Farmer] since the second half year of 1999. Granny smith has its characteristics like high acidity and high production, easy to handle and store, besides it is also people's favorite  consumed in fresh market, so it is used as the main apple raw material for Hengxing's apple base.

To ensure enough supply of Granny Smith, Hengxing Seedling Company made contract for 1500 Mu (100 hectare) to plant Granny Smith for popularizing and selling. This company is the first one to provide special processing fruit for apple juice concentrate manufacturer. It has bred and sold 28 million plants of Granny Smith and 10 million other kind of kiwi seedling.

The reason for Hengxing Company to popularize and provide farmers with seedling and produce raw material is to avoid malignant competition on the raw material market and ensure supply of raw material of its own, on the other hand, Hengxing Company could also improve its raw material quality and upgrade its product quality, finally to improve its strength of competition, increase its selling price and thus maintain its leading position in the juice concentrate industry.
